The Office of the Ombudsman has found probable cause to charge former mayor Carl Elias Lademora of San Francisco, Agusan Del Sur, for Malversation of Public Funds after he failed to account for travel expenses incurred in 2009.
Investigation showed that in July 2009, Lademora was granted a cash advance amounting to P50,000.00 to attend a seminar at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City. Records, however, show that the mayor did not attend the seminar and that despite the lapse of period to account for the cash advance, he failed to account for the funds.
The Information is set to be filed with the Sandiganbayan. ###
